Comment
There are 2 types of Seymchan Pallasite meteorite. In June 1967, a lump of 272.3 kg
was discovered. This lump contained almost no Peridot, so it was judged as an iron
meteorite by the Meteorite Society. In October of the same year, a lump of 51k was
discovered. This lump contained a lot of Peridot and the Meteorite Society changed
the classification from Iron meteorite to Pallasite PMG in 2007.
This 26 kg Seymchan Pallasite meteorite is from a 51 kg mass and is extremely
valuable.
The 272.3 kg chunk is stored at the Academy of Sciences in Russia and is no available
to the public.
It is clear that the biggest chunk you can get is this 26 kg piece.
In addition, this 26 kg Pallasite meteorite retains the state of the outside when it
fell, and the inside is a perfect mixture of metal and Peridot, so it can be said to be
the most beautiful Seymchan Pallasite meteorite.
